Bunner Ridge is located amidst the rolling hills and mountains near Fairmont, West Virginia.    It is located at an altitude of 1,600 feet, and is the highest elevation in Marion County.  In 1996, the late Jack “Hardrock” Bunner donated 12 acres of brush and hillside to the Bunner Ridge Riding Club.  After excavation and many volunteer hours, we have developed 6 acres into a Horse Park for rustic equestrian camping.  There is a lack of camp grounds in North Central West Virginia for the pleasure/trail rider.  We offer miles and miles of scenic trails and horse related activities, which enhance the areas economy and provides a tourist attraction geared toward the equestrian.

Bunner Ridge Horse Park is open May through October.  Reservations are available, just email an officer.  Featuring overnight camping and trail riding, the park sports a pavilion, two outhouses, a riding ring, picnic tables, hitching posts, camp sites, and plenty of spring water for the horses.  No potable water or electric.  No alcohol or ATV’s permitted.

Walkers, hikers, and mountain bikes are welcome on our trails through the park.

Located 6 miles east of I-79, off the Prickett’s Fort Exit 139.  Follow Route 33 (Bunner Ridge Road) to the “Y”.  Turn right and travel for 2.2 miles.  It is the first driveway on the right after the Fire Department.  Our sign is quite visible.
